Making a complaint

Welcome to the complaints section of the Jersey Construction Council Limited (JeCC) website.

In any dispute, it is important that every effort is made to resolve any differences or issues between interested parties prior to seeking an alternative solution. This will often be the quickest and easiest method and simply involves talking through the problem and agreeing a way out.

However, there are times when this is not possible. In this instance, a solution can be found by using the services of the local trade or professional body. Most trades have them and their details can be found on this website under 'Local Trade and Professional Bodies'.

If this is not an option, the JeCC has a Complaints Policy written with customers in mind. Any complaints against JeCC members will be dealt with under the terms of the Complaints Policy and have a clearly defined route to completion.

The JeCC currently has over 100 members covering all aspects of the built environment from Suppliers and Architects through to Main and Sub-Contractors. All members are duty bound to abide by the rules of the Council and the Complaints Policy.

All complaints received are treated in the strictest confidence. Complaints are registered at the time of receipt and so must be submitted in writing on the form included in the policy.

Copies of the policy can be downloaded by clicking here or can be viewed at the Citizens Advice Bureau or the Trading Standards Office.
