JeCC/Law At Work Training Seminars

Following on from the success of the first training seminar held in conjunction with Law At Work, a set of dates has now been finalised for future seminars and these are as follows -

8th June 2011 08.00 – 10.00 Health & Safety Law Update
28th September 2011 08.00 – 10.00 - Topic to be confirmed
30th November 2011 08.00 – 10.00 - Topic to be confirmed

All these seminars will once again be held at Jersey Bowl and further details will be circulated in due course.

JeCC members can attend free of charge and non-members can attend at a cost of £25 per person.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRAINING SEMINAR

JeCC members are invited to a forthcoming seminar scheduled to take place on Thursday 16 June covering aspects relating to Affordable Housing and How to Make it Work for Developers. The seminar will cover the following areas

• The background to affordable housing in Jersey and the implications of the proposed new policies.
• How to negotiate affordable housing with the Planning Minister
• Jersey legal remedies where there is a dispute or refusal of permission
• Planning appeals and judical review

RAISING THE IMAGE OF CONSTRUCTION TRAINING SEMINAR

JeCC members are invited to a training seminar that is scheduled to take place on Thursday 26 May, by CIOB that is entitled Raising the Image of Construction. This seminar will be hosted by Michael Worrall FCIOB, MRICS of Considerate Constructors will explore the relevance and numerous benefits to be accrued by becoming a "Considerate Constructor".
