Construction Week 2011

2011 Construction Week Monday 12 September - Saturday 17 September

The second Jersey Construction Council Construction Week will take place between Monday 12 September and Saturday 17 September.  During the week visits to places of interest to the public, have been arranged and will be as follows:-

Monday 12 September - The Cavern from 12.30pm to 2.00pm.

Wednesday 14th September - The new development at Jersey Hospice Care between 12.30pm and 2.00pm.

Friday 16th September - Lakeside Care Home between 12.30pm and 2.00pm.

Places are offered on a first-come-first-served basis and can be booked by contacting Caroline Harrington at info@jerseyconstruction.org.

Construction Week will culminate with the 2011 JeCC Awards that will take place on Saturday 17 September at the Hotel de France.  To book tables please contact Caroline Harrington at info@jerseyconstruction.org.

Careers Fair

For the second time the Jersey Construction Council will be the main sponsor for the 2011 Careers Fair.  This event will take place at the Radisson Hotel on Thursday 15 September and further details will be posted in due course.

Community Projects

A highlight of Construction Week for the JeCC is the opportunity to help worthy causes that are in need of some construction assistance.  This year we are delighted to announe that the Jersey Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre will be benefiting from a much-needed make over s the community project chosen for this year's Construction Week.  JeCC members companies will undertake the week-long project5 and work will begin on Monday 12 September.  The centre is used by sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis for whom therapy using high-dosage oxygen can bring relief for some of the condition's symptoms.

The reception and resource information areas will be remodelled, the existing padded bencyh seating removed and the carpets, lighting and decoration throughout the building will be replaced.  The kitchen will also be moved to give more floor space.
